Kevin J. Foxe is a director, producer, writer, and storyteller, most known for the successful independent film The Blair Witch Project. Kevin J. Foxe was born in Enfield, CT. He has worked in several capacities, including editing and post production, production managing, assistant directing, location managing, producing and writing with filmmakers such as Federico Fellini, Miloš Forman, David Mamet, Bob Fosse, Robert Benton, and others. He was a founder of the New Media Council for the Producers Guild of America He lived in New York City for many years, beginning in 1982, while working in film, video, and theater. He began as an assistant in the film program at New York University. While in New York, he worked at Liberty Studios, Filmhaus, Sound One, Todd A-O, DuArt, The Tape House, and many other notable film production and post production companies. He worked in Atlanta, Georgia; Boston, Massachusetts; Baltimore, Maryland; Salt Lake City, Utah; Los Angeles, California; Seattle, Washington; Orlando, Florida; Santa Cruz, California; Rome, Italy; Paris, France; Manila, Philippines, among many other locations around the world. He has worked in film, video, theater, digital, interactive, internet, transmedia, print and other mediums. He helped establish The Homegrown Theater in New York City, as well as spending time with The Atlantic Theater Company, also in New York City. He has spoken on many panels and at conferences around the world, and at festivals for both film and digital media, ranging on topics from independent film, production, pot production, internet, interactive media, new media and convergent media. He writes, produces, directs, edits and sometimes acts, having either trained or taught most of these disciplines. His hobbies include many sports, skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, soccer, tennis, running, water skiing, surfing, swimming, snorkeling, as well as reading, writing, gardening, sustainable living, acting, building things, and many others. He has consulted for many companies in many diverse fields, such as film, video, editing, internet, interactive, digital production, forward thinking business, new media, transmedia, and convergent technology. He loves to travel, learn, and continue to expand his understanding of this world and tries to contribute to the future for his children and the problems that this world faces ahead. He is constantly working on creating new and better ways to tell stories, show examples of how to live more sustainably in this world, and gives back to the community wherever he finds himself. A true believer in understanding technology and finding ways to use it to better our lives and the future, he is constantly at the forefront of experimenting with new and exciting ways to tell new stories, interact with each other and build community, to promote a better world for future generations. He was fortunate to begin in his career of choice at an early age and has continued to work in the entertainment, technology, digital space for many years, while still keeping his ideas and creativity in the future. While the entertainment, technology and digital space is under constant change, he keeps constant with the newest platforms, ideas, and inventions of the times and stays relevant to how it effects his work and creativity always looking for new ways to move those worlds forward. Using technology as a tool, he keeps his eyes focused on finding ways to tell stories in the current age and in the future.
